We have guest presenter Peter Schwartz (aka “iSchwartz” and “ski”) for Thursday’s meeting.

Below is a blurb about him. Anyway, he’ll talk about scoring for film using Logic - should be very interesting. He has a good background in this.

Here’s info about Peter:

Peter “Ski” Schwartz is a NY-based composer who has enjoyed a
multi-faceted career in the music business, including jingle and
songwriter, session keyboardist and synth programmer,
arranger/orchestrator, and musical director for David Bowie, Enya,
Madonna, Pet Shop Boys, even Hanson! If that’s not enough, Peter’s
technical background includes having been a product specialist for the
venerable Synclavier and has enjoyed a 20 year association with Korg as a
design consultant and programmer. In recent years Peter has entered the
world of film scoring, having composed original scores for numerous
independent films, and a client roster that includes Disney, Mattel, and
Warner Bros.

November Apple certified Logic Pro 101 and 301 training

October 5th, 2008

Look for two Logic Pro Apple certified trainings in November.

Logic 101 November 3-5.

Logic 301 November 6-8.

Both trainings will be held at the Seattle Guitar Center Annex from 10 AM - 5:30 PM daily.

Logic Pro Studio Tips

Dave Gross from Helldog Music shares his work flow in Logic. Nice tips on windows/screensets and using multiple drives for handling audio, samples, and archiving. Other good info as well. Video 3 contains music demos.
