SLUG meeting Thursday 10/30

Wednesday, October 29th, 2008

We have guest presenter Peter Schwartz (aka “iSchwartz” and “ski”) for Thursday’s meeting.

Below is a blurb about him. Anyway, he’ll talk about scoring for film using Logic - should be very interesting. He has a good background in this.

When: 6:30 - 8:30 PM Thursday 10/30
Where: The Mac Store
815 NE 45th St
Seattle, WA 98105
(206) 443-0808

I’ll cover any dead time with Q and A or we can begin to look at mastering.

Swag from grooveboxmusic.com and macProvideo and training DVD from me.

Here’s info about Peter:

Peter “Ski” Schwartz is a NY-based composer who has enjoyed a
multi-faceted career in the music business, including jingle and
songwriter, session keyboardist and synth programmer,
arranger/orchestrator, and musical director for David Bowie, Enya,
Madonna, Pet Shop Boys, even Hanson! If that’s not enough, Peter’s
technical background includes having been a product specialist for the
venerable Synclavier and has enjoyed a 20 year association with Korg as a
design consultant and programmer. In recent years Peter has entered the
world of film scoring, having composed original scores for numerous
independent films, and a client roster that includes Disney, Mattel, and
Warner Bros.
